Support

Sponsor the project

Vector Logic is free and stays free. Sponsorship pays for the things that cost money to keep it that way — compute, hosting, and a little maintainer time. It buys no influence over direction or roadmap.

Placeholder: the GitHub Sponsors and Open Collective links above must be created and confirmed by the COO. The handles vectorlogic are assumed, not verified; until the accounts exist these links do not resolve.

What the money pays for

  • Compute for model releases

Training and evaluation runs for BOSS releases and the offline evaluation harness. This is the single largest cost.

  • Hosting and infrastructure

Docs hosting, CI minutes, and the storage and bandwidth for published model artefacts.

  • Maintainer time

A small amount of paid maintainer time for triage, review, and releases, so the project is not purely a volunteer effort.

  • Testing hardware

Access to machines for CPU-only and low-VRAM testing, so the project does not only work on a developer's own GPU.

Transparency

We do not publish a funding balance because the project does not yet receive regular funding. When it does, spending will be itemised through Open Collective, which publishes transactions publicly. We will not report a number here that we cannot show the receipts for.

What sponsorship is not

  • It is not a support contract. Sponsors get the same issue tracker and the same Discussions as everyone else.
  • It does not buy roadmap priority, a private channel, or influence over licence or governance decisions.
  • It does not entitle anyone to a commercial warranty — the licence is Apache-2.0 and provided as-is.

Non-financial ways to help

Sponsorship is only one way to contribute. Filing a good bug report, fixing documentation, answering a question in Discussions, or sending a patch are all worth more to the project than most donations. See contributing.

Sponsorship configuration is declared in .github/FUNDING.yml in the repository.
