Press & Brand
Everything a writer, podcaster, or integrator needs to refer to the project accurately.
The facts
- Name
- Vector Logic
- What it is
- An open-source project, not a company
- Licence
- Apache-2.0
- Website
- vectorlogic.in
- Source
- https://github.com/vectorlogic/vectorlogic
- Founded as a project
- 2026
How to write the name
- In prose: Vector Logic — two words, both capitalised.
- Not: "VectorLogic", "VECTOR LOGIC" (except in a logo lockup), "VLI", or any abbreviation we have not introduced.
- Products get their own names and are written as, e.g., "BOSS Offline AI v1.3".
- Describe it as "the Vector Logic project" or "open-source project Vector Logic". Do not call it a company, a vendor, or a consultancy.
- Use the possessive form sparingly and accurately — "the Vector Logic project" is usually better than "Vector Logic's team", because there is no team page to point at.
Brand assets
Brand-asset licence
The Vector Logic name and logo are the project's marks. The logo files are provided for accurate editorial and referential use — writing about the project, linking to it, or documenting an integration. You may not:
- Use the marks in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with your product or service.
- Use the marks as the name or logo of a fork or a derived product. Forks are welcome under the licence; they must carry their own name.
- Alter the marks — recolor, stretch, or add effects.
- Use the marks on merchandise for sale without written permission.
The software is licensed Apache-2.0 and you may use it freely; the brand is not part of that grant. The licence covers the code, not the name.
Press enquiries
Placeholder: there is no press contact yet. A press address and, if desired, a media-questions process must be confirmed by the COO before this page goes live. In the meantime, factual questions about the project can be raised in the public repositories.
Messaging we can stand behind
If you need a one-line description: "Vector Logic is an open-source project building offline AI and developer tooling. It is free, permissively licensed, and sells nothing." Please do not attribute claims, benchmarks, or roadmap items to the project that are not published on this site — if it is not here, we have not said it.
